The comprehensive senior rehabilitative center at Walnut Place provides the expert care needed to quickly recover when short-term skilled nursing or rehab care is recommended. Whether you or a loved one are recovering from an illness, injury or surgery, our attending physicians and clinicians oversee all senior rehabilitation, from occupational therapy to physical therapy for seniors and more. The result? An impressive record of successful patient outcomes.
At Walnut Place, we have an entire floor dedicated to comprehensive short-term rehabilitative care and includes two dining rooms, a therapy gym, and the support of nurses, therapists, and social workers—all under the direction of a physician.
We also go out of our way to provide a set schedule for residents so they can come to know and anticipate their rehabilitation. By working with the same therapists each day and at the same time, it’s much easier for residents to see the progress they are making and stay committed to therapy.
At Walnut Place, meal services are prepared under the direction of Nathan Forrestal, Culinary Chef who trained at the Culinary Institute of America Masterworks and won the Iron Chef DFW region for Compass Group. Residents enjoy personal menu selections on a daily basis. Special diets, as required, are routinely provided.
