Dusty Davis, Executive Director

Executive Director

Dusty Davis finds it an honor to be the leader of the dynamic team at Walnut Place, an established community with so much rich history. Dusty worked as a nursing home administrator for over 20 years and has loved being in health care for so many reasons. Her favorite part of our community is seeing all our happy residents and their families daily.

Sarah Beltran, Director of Nursing

Director of Nursing

Sarah has been in the skilled nursing/long-term care industry for 10 years, with 8 in the role as Director of Nursing. She is dedicated to elevating nursing care at the skilled nursing/long-term care level, and stirred the helm for Walnut Place accepting higher acuity skilled care patients and for the clinical team to pursue higher education and various certifications.

Elizabeth Smith, Director of Admissions

Director of Admissions

Elizabeth Smith has been the Director of Admissions at Walnut Place since 2016 and has worked in the senior living industry since 2009. Her goal is to ensure all residents, whether they are with us for a short stay or permanently, have a smooth, stress-free transition to our community. She’s very proud of the team’s ability to work together to provide the best quality of life for residents.

Jeanine Smith, Assisted Living Director

Assisted Living Director

Jeanine Smith started her career in geriatric care 30 years ago. She has always loved taking care of the older generations because of their wonderful stories, knowing the very people she gets to care for have paved the way for her and her own children. She truly enjoys taking care of our residents, who have seen and experienced so much in life.

Nancy Champion, LVN, Wellness Navigator

LVN, Wellness Navigator

Nancy has worked with seniors for 27 years, is an LVN and our Wellness Navigator. Her ultimate goal is to guide residents and family members through health and wellness transitions. As residents are discharged home, she ensures their needs are being met and they continue to be safe. She has a passion for working with seniors and is an advocate for our residents.

Amy Lindsay, Life Enrichment Director

Life Enrichment Director

As Life Enrichment Director at Walnut Place, Amy Lindsay is committed to working with the Activity Associates to cultivate meaningful and active living at the community, helping new residents integrate easily into their new homes. Additionally, Amy is certified by the National Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) and has worked with residents with dementia for over 10 years.

Svetlana Santic, Admissions Concierge

Admissions Concierge

Svetlana started as a medication aid in 2010 and moved into the concierge role in 2016. She currently works as the Admissions Concierge at Walnut Place and most enjoys the friendly environment of the community. Her goal is to make sure residents’ stay is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Tammie Hasan Ali, Director of Business Development

Tammie’s passion for senior living started as a teenager when her own grandmother was in a senior community. She truly enjoys the gratification it brings.To ensure easy transition into the next level of care, Tammie makes it her priority to make a personal connection with patients/residents.

Happie Uppaul, Wound Care / Nursing Supervisor

Wound Care / Nursing Supervisor

Happie began her career at Walnut Place six years ago and her current role is the communities’ Would Care Coordinator/ADON. She provides excellent customer service to residents and their families by engaging with each of them on a more personal level each and every day.

Aaron Parker, Rehab Director

Rehab Director

Aaron Parker has been with Walnut Place for over 3 years now, a practicing therapist for 7 years with 5 years as Rehab Director. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Mississippi State University and attended Physical Therapy school in Denver. In November 2017, Aaron become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. An outdoor enthusiast, he ran the Boston Marathon in April 2018.

Nathan Forrestal, Director of Food and Nutrition

Director of Food and Nutrition

Nathan was one of 16 people Nationwide chosen to attend the Culinary Institute of America Masterworks. He also competed and won the Iron Chef DFW region for Compass Group. Promoting health and fun with culinary is Nathan’s true passion. He's excited to bring a unique approach to dining for the residents of Walnut Place.

René Colby Charles, Human Resources Director

Serving as the HR Director since April 2017, Colby contributes 8 years of HR experience & knowledge to Walnut Place. While promoting a “forever-family” atmosphere and keeping the 38 years of vibrant culture alive within the community, Colby partners with staff members & management team to provide strategic direction in all areas of HR.

Ariella Honigsfeld, Director of Social Services

Director of Social Services

Ariella graduated from Univ. of Maryland with a Masters in Clinical Mental health and after visiting her grandmother in a short-term nursing facility a few years later fell in love with helping and enriching the lives of seniors! She's been working in long-term care for close to five years. Ariella is passionate about what she does and feels lucky to do it every day.

Frankie McCall, Maintenance and Management Professional

Maintenance and Management Professional

Frankie has over 35 years of experience and currently works as a maintenance & management professional. His military and educational background in Accounting, Business Management and Biblical Studies uniquely position him to care for both the needs of the business as well as those of the residents.

LaTonya Wilkerson, Staffing Supervisor

Staffing Supervisor

LaTonya has demonstrated compassion and dedication to the residents of Walnut Place for over 20 years. Her current role at the community is the Staffing Supervisor for the Health Center and is a licensed CNA.

Lisa Ward, Central Supply Manager

Central Supply Manager

Lisa current works as the Central Supply Manager at Walnut Place and finds joy in seeing the faces of residents when they receive an item they have requested or are in need of. She has a passion for helping people and enjoys getting to know the life stories of each and every resident.

Takima Wilson, Receptionist

Receptionist

Walnut Place has been a part of Takima’s life since 1985 when her grandmother was a Nurses Aid. While she has held many positions at the community, she is currently a Receptionist. Takima is happy to be part of Walnut Place and enjoys working with a great team.

Mia Fite, MDS Coordinator, LVN

MDS Coordinator, LVN

Mia Fite has been with Walnut Place for over 18 years. She’s a certified dementia professional, fiercely loyal to our community and our residents. She actively advocates for residents in long-term care to ensure they’re consistently receiving the high-quality care Walnut Place is known for.

Sonjia Cooper, MDS Coordinator, LVN

MDS Coordinator, LVN

Sonjia Cooper has been a nurse since 1994, finding her calling at a young age thanks to her grandfather working as a porter at the local hospital. She always knew she wanted to help people and make a difference in their lives, understanding that sometimes, a big smile and a hug can work better than medication.

Shirley Clark, Medical Records Coordinator

Shirley Clark started at Walnut Place 8 years ago as a Certified Nurse Aide. She was promoted to Ward Clark, and then again to Medical Records Coordinator, a role she’s held for the last 2 and a half years, delivering superior customer satisfaction. She’s grateful to be a part of the amazing team here, enjoying developing relationships with the staff, residents and their families.

Angela Dudley, MDS Coordinator

MDS Coordinator

Angela Dudley has been a nurse for over 20 years and says working at Walnut Place is her best nursing experience yet, attributing the success of the team to the great relationships they all have together. As MDS Coordinator, she’s responsible for collecting integral data from the clinical record and compiling it into a report to assist with providing quality care to residents and future resident
