Dusty Davis finds it an honor to be the leader of the dynamic team at Walnut Place, an established community with so much rich history. Dusty worked as a nursing home administrator for over 20 years and has loved being in health care for so many reasons. Her favorite part of our community is seeing all our happy residents and their families daily.
Yolanda is passionate about her role as director of nursing and the ability to serve the elderly community. She has worked in the long term care field for more than thirteen years, She is a graduate of North Texas Career Institute and Lamar State University.
Mia Fite has been with Walnut Place for over 18 years. She’s a certified dementia professional, fiercely loyal to our community and our residents. She actively advocates for residents in long-term care to ensure they’re consistently receiving the high-quality care Walnut Place is known for.
The journey to find the right fit for your loved one can be difficult. Maria takes pride in being a resource to guide families in the right direction. As a member of the Alzheimer’s Association Walk Committee, her passion shines through. Her main goal is to help residents find happiness, comfort and joy at Walnut Place.
Camille has demonstrated her passion of helping seniors achieve the highest quality of life possible since 2011. As Community Relations Director, she is a resource to families in need of Assisted Living and Memory Care services. Camille represents Walnut Place as a liaison in the Dallas community. She holds a degree in Kinesiology from San Jose State University and is a Dementia Care Specialist.
Rebecca loves to “love on” her residents! She enjoys greeting residents in the morning at breakfast and spending time with them during the activities of the day. She is passionate about supporting seniors and their families. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, riding motorcycles and volunteered performing military burials.
Nancy has worked with seniors for 27 years, is an LVN and our Wellness Navigator. Her ultimate goal is to guide residents and family members through health and wellness transitions. As residents are discharged home, she ensures their needs are being met and they continue to be safe. She has a passion for working with seniors and is an advocate for our residents.
As Life Enrichment Director at Walnut Place, Amy Lindsay is committed to working with the Activity Associates to cultivate meaningful and active living at the community, helping new residents integrate easily into their new homes. Additionally, Amy is certified by the National Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) and has worked with residents with dementia for over 10 years.
Svetlana started as a medication aid in 2010 and moved into the concierge role in 2016. She currently works as the Admissions Concierge at Walnut Place and most enjoys the friendly environment of the community. Her goal is to make sure residents’ stay is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Tammie’s passion for senior living started as a teenager when her own grandmother was in a senior community. She truly enjoys the gratification it brings.To ensure easy transition into the next level of care, Tammie makes it her priority to make a personal connection with patients/residents.
Elizabeth Smith has worked in the senior living industry since 2009. Her goal is to ensure all residents, whether they are with us for a short stay or permanently, have a smooth, stress-free transition to our community. She’s very proud of the team’s ability to work together to provide the best quality of life for residents.
Sherell believes seniors are a wealth of knowledge and she loves being able to learn just as much from them as they do from her. As a skilled wound nurse, she works one on one with residents to help them through the process of healing and rehabilitation at Walnut Place.
Denise’s favorite part of working at Walnut Place is how welcoming and genuinely friendly all of the staff and residents are. As HR Director, she helps find and retain caring, competent team members that will take excellent care of our residents. She brings over 10 years of human resources experience to Walnut Place. Denise, her husband, and her 3 sons are all U.S. Army veterans.
Nathan was one of 16 people Nationwide chosen to attend the Culinary Institute of America Masterworks. He also competed and won the Iron Chef DFW region for Compass Group. Promoting health and fun with culinary is Nathan’s true passion. He's excited to bring a unique approach to dining for the residents of Walnut Place.
Charles moved to the United States from Jamaica in 2012. He has over 20 years’ experience in plant operations having worked at a college in Jamaica for 23 years and warehouse his first year in the U.S. Charles is enjoys repairing items for the residents to ensure they have a comfortable environment to live in.
Ariella graduated from Univ. of Maryland with a Masters in Clinical Mental health and after visiting her grandmother in a short-term nursing facility a few years later fell in love with helping and enriching the lives of seniors! She's been working in long-term care for close to five years. Ariella is passionate about what she does and feels lucky to do it every day.
LaTonya has demonstrated compassion and dedication to the residents of Walnut Place for over 20 years. Her current role at the community is the Staffing Supervisor for the Health Center and is a licensed CNA.
Angela Dudley has been a nurse for over 20 years and says working at Walnut Place is her best nursing experience yet, attributing the success of the team to the great relationships they all have together.
Patrice believes her passion to work in senior living is a calling from God. After navigating the challenges of moving her grandmother to a senior living community, Patrice decided to help make the transition for residents and families as comfortable as possible. As Business Office Manager, she helps residents understand the financial aspect of senior care, including insurance and billing issues.
Sonjia Cooper has been a nurse since 1994, finding her calling at a young age thanks to her grandfather working as a porter at the local hospital. She always knew she wanted to help people and make a difference in their lives, understanding that sometimes, a big smile and a hug can work better than medication.
Shirley Clark started at Walnut Place 8 years ago as a Certified Nurse Aide. She was promoted to Ward Clark, and then again to Medical Records Coordinator, a role she’s held for the last 2 and a half years, delivering superior customer satisfaction. She’s grateful to be a part of the amazing team here, enjoying developing relationships with the staff, residents and their families.
